I’ve decided to start with the Birdwatchers Sugar Wash Recipe (https://birdwatchers.info/instructions), since it’s widely regarded as an easy wash to prepare and a great entry point for beginners.
I didn’t what to start with creating 25 litres of wash so went with creating 4 litres worth as this is the limit of the Air Still Pro.
- Dissolved 720 grams of sugar in 2 litres of still water
- Added 0.8 grams of Citric Acid and a very small pinch of Epson Salts
- Once the sugar had completely dissolved I added 39 grams of Tomato Paste and stirred well
- Added a further 2 litres of still water to my fermentation jar
